I don't really know myself, I've been thinking about it since his death. I never really thought about it before. I will say since David's death, I have listened to the title track Blackstar, I listen to it almost everyday, I don't know why, some parts of the song are just so damn mysterious and were never gonna find out what it means, at least not when were alive.

Hey everybody you know my dog Blackie? He's crippled now and I want to fucking kill myself. See it's shit like this that I don't believe in god and if he is real he can get fucked. Oh and here's the kick in the nuts the thing that led to him being crippled happened on FUCKIG CHRISTMAS, so everytime it's christmas I can remember it's the anniversay of my dog being crippled, YAY! The only thing that could help him walk again would be an operation that cost about 3,000 fucking dollars, by time I could even get that money the operation would be useless.
Today is Blackie's birthday, he turns 7 today! He will be sleeping all day, in fact he's in his cage right now sleeping as I type this. I will be feeding him his favorite foods today, which is human food, apparently Blackie does'nt know he's a dog. Love ya Black, here's to another 7 years.
We arrive at the restaurant, Don Pedro's is the name it's a nice mexican restaurant we go to, anyways we have a buffet, good food and everybody's full and ready to go. The drive home is nice, about a 15 minute drive, anyways were almost home as I see a family of dogs 2 adults and 1 to 3 pups I don't really remember, I thought nothing of it. As we are getting closer to my grandparents I see something dead about 30 ft away from the driveway as we get closer I see that it is Pantera. We're in the driveway now and right at the foot of the porch is the mother and another kitten dead it's Sparrow. I'm now out of the truck to see the dead cats, I'm disgusted at what I see, the mother's stomach was ripped open and I actually see some of her guts spilling out, I could'nt help but stare at her eyes that were just wide open. I then looked at the porch and I see that there is bloody paw prints smeared everywhere, the mother fought for her kittens before she died, then In my mind I said it was those fucking dogs! The mother fought those damned dogs, at this time my grandmother is coming back after picking up Pantera out of the street, then I notice something there's only 2 dead kittens, where's Calico?! We all start calling out to Calico, nothing. My little brother and I then start walking to look for Calico, we cross a street and I tell my brother those fucking dogs could have her so we go in the direction I saw them in to no avail, they are already gone. Saddened we start walking back, then I get a call it's my mother and she says they found Calico! Now my borther and I are running back to are grandparents, we see Calico, she is unharmed my mother tells me she was hiding over at the neighbors, the mother did'nt die in vain. Now Calico has a nickname: Lucky. She deserves it, another thing you have to know about Calico, I don't know if it's from the trauma of what happened but, Calico meow's very softly, it could be her regular meow, but like I said I don't know. Well that ends this tale, hope you liked it. Anybody think I should continue with other stories?
Meet Calico sometimes called Callie she is my grandparents cat. I'm going to tell you a story, a true story, a sad story. It happened about 2 years ago my grandparents, my grandfather really, started to feed this stray cat about two months later we noticed it was pregnant then in about another two or three months she had her kittens: Calico named for the obvious reason, Sparrow the only boy, named because he had a black patch of fur over one eye, and Pantera the other girl, named because she was all black except her paws and mouth. It was all happy times when we visited my grandparents, about every week maybe two times a week. Fast forward another two months, my mother, my little brother and I, made plans with my grandparents to go eat breakfast on Saturday, like we do sometimes. When we were leaving I saw the mother and her three kittens playing, it brang a smile to my face, little did I know this was the last time I was going to see them alive. To be continued
Looks like he's about to nom my face off, but he's just doing one of his dog yawns.
Today is Blackie's birthday, he is my dog he turns 5 today and I'm very happy for him. He is a Schnauzer/Rat Terrier mix.
